14 days

14 days spending in Indonesia, Ma lang was a memorable experience that I would never forget. Learning in depth about their culture, education and most importantly, knowing their stories is a plus point for me.

You know, typical Singaporean parents will always emphasize you in doing well in everything you do otherwise you will not go far. That is exactly what I observe in Indonesia! They put their heart and soul into everything they do. I am not saying that we, Singaporeans are lazy. You just don’t see the same enthusiasm when we work. That is one of the takeaways I got from these 14 days.

I am blessed to be a part of TFSCALE II.

9 days. 216 hours. It has been a memorable experience in Indonesia so far. Memories were made. Roads were conquered. Laughters were made. New friendships were made. When second day comes, I never thought the day of me experiencing as an Indonesian student has come so fast. It is amazing to see how their education is run here.

Afterwards, we went to Mount Bromo and Probolingo on the following day. This is the day when I tried new things and became an adventurous person. Bravely stepping on the steep slopes and not caring about my shoes getting dirty. There were moments I thought I would roll down the hill since the hill is steep. But however, I just kept going on and on and on.

I would not want to keep on writing what I did the following 9 days as the others has written. And to me, the experience details is somehow rather the same. What I want to emphasize is the word “time”.

The time passed so fast here in Indonesia and so many things has happen. Every single day is like a memory syrup to my honey jar. Time has a wonderful way of showing us what really matters. This is our TFSCALE2 time.
