The past 9 days in Malang has been enjoyable for me, I was able to experience the culture of this beautiful town and been able to gain wonderful insights from this trip. One of the main thing that I have learnt from this trip is to slow down my pace so that I can take more time to appreciate the little things in life. Malang has taught me many wonderful things and has also allowed me to learn certain values from the Malang students.
For example, I am thankful for the Malang students for being so hospitable towards us. Taking extra mile to make sure, we enjoy ourselves and be well-taken care of despite them being very tired. With this, I would like to thank the Malang students for that.
In addition, the past 9 days has been wonderful, one of the few memorable experience is being able to experience the sun-rise at Mount Bromo and Water Rafting. This trip has also allowed me to know more people and new friendship has been fostered and I hope that the journey would still be able to continue after this trip. I am grateful for my Water rafting’s team members to have helped me to ensure my safety and making sure I was able to take photos and videos for Water Rafting.
Thank you for Charm and Juhan for bringing me to church even though you need to wake up early and also being so patient and understanding when the Eucharist ended later than expected. That day was awesome because I get to experience something new such as Car Free Day Jin Ljen. Also, trying out new food that were delicious. The day ended off with a bonding session with our personal tour guide, Anom and my new friends.
In summary, this trip has not only allowed me to know more about Malang’s Culture but also allowed me to have a deeper understanding on what Raspberry Pi and coding is about which I surprising find it interesting. Most importantly, fostering new friendship through this trip which I hope it will still continue after this trip.
