Singapore Sunday

hello guys, sorry i just started making this journal from today. It has been 7 days since i arrived to Singapore. I’ve learn a lot about the cultures, education system, etc from the RP student. I’ve met a lot of friends since a stayed here. i’ve met a lot of people from Singapore, Myanmar, Cambodia and even from Malang. So yesterday we went to Marina Barrage. Marina barrage is a dam built at the confluence of five rivers, across the Marina Channel between East and South side. What i have learned is that marina barrage have 3 purposes. First, it is use for water supply, it has increased singapore’s water catchment area half of the nation’s land arean since 2011. Second, it’s for flood control, during heavy rain, the crest gates at the dam will be activated ro release excess storm water into the sea when the tide is low. The last purposes of marina barrage is for attraction, it has been used for recreation activies such as kayaking, sailing, and dragon boating.

And today we went to USS. One of the famous theme park in Singapore, well… some of you maybe already know the Universal Studio. This place is located in Sentosa Island. We went there by bus, and then we take sentosa express.
My favorite attractions are “Revenge of the Mummy”, “Shrek 4-D”, and “galctica”. Revenge of The Mummy is the attractive high-speed roller coaster, it’s not just move forward but also backward, turn around and the most interesting is it will be pitch black when the roller coaster done its action They adapt the story of The Mummy where we are in journey to seek the lost book.

Then the Shrek 4-D is watching a cinema with the glasses like you did when you see 3-D movies but they put a little effect on the seat and sometimes sprinkle a water to your face. I had this experience when the donkey is sneezing when Shrek sprinkle him with the dust fairy its so real even you will see that the spear will stab you and you will close your eyes and scream because of that.
